Paratico
Paratico is a municipality in the province of Brescia in the region of Lombardy, located on the southern shore of Lake Iseo. By Partico the Oglio flows.
Paratico borders the municipalities of Adro, Capriolo, Credaro, Iseo, Sarnico and Villongo. The place belongs to the Franciacorta wine district.
To place the ruins Lantieri part of the 13th century (built in 1007). It is situated on a hill above Paratico. Dante Alighieri was staying in 1311 at the castle and was, as a legend, inspired to represent the mountain of Purgatory his Divine Comedy.
