Polpenazze del Garda

Polpenazze del Garda is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2574 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy.

The municipality is situated approximately 21 km west-northwest of Brescia, about four kilometers west from the western shores of Lake Garda. The Strada Statale 45 Garda Occidentale limited the church in the West.

History

To ward off the incursions by the Hungarians, the castle was built in the 10th century. The prehistoric pile dwellings from the Bronze Age, were found near the community include, since 2011 a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
