Credaro

Credaro is a municipality in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region Lombardy with 3447 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Geography

Credaro located 20 km east of the provincial capital city of Bergamo and 60 km northeast of the city of Milan.

The neighboring municipalities are Capriolo, Castelli Calepio, Gandosso, Paratico, Trescore Balneario, Villongo and Zandobbio.

Attractions

• The Castello di Trebecco from the 10th century.

• The San Fermo church from the 12th century, which is held in the Romanesque style, reminiscent of the Middle Ages.

• The parish church of San Giorgio, in which several valuable frescoes are included.

• The Montecchio, which was built by the family Calepio. That is a huge garden.
