Fontanella, Lombardy
Fontanella is a small town with 4454 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Bergamo, region Lombardia.
The Farming village lies at an altitude of 105 m above sea level on a plain between the rivers Oglio and Serio. It covers an area of 17 km ² and has a population density of 212 inhabitants / km ².
The name Fontanella is derived from the many natural sources (Italian Fontana) in the vicinity of the place.
As a landmark, the church of the place is interesting, which has a Renaissance façade and the bell tower from the 15th century.
