Almenno San Bartolomeo

Almenno San Bartolomeo is a town with 6062 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Bergamo and the Lombardia region; the place is located about 45 km northeast of Milan and 9 km northwest of Bergamo.

The neighboring municipalities are Alme, Almenno San Salvatore, Barzana, Brembate di Sopra, Paladina, Palazzago, Roncola, Strozza and Valbrembo.


Worth seeing is the rotunda of San Tome, a round church of the 12th century in Romanesque Bergamo, which is dedicated to St. Thomas the Apostle.
