Curno

Curno is a municipality in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region Lombardy with 7590 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Geography

Curno located 6 km southwest of the provincial capital of Bergamo and 40 km northeast of the city of Milan.

The neighboring municipalities are Bergamo, Bonate Sopra, Mozzo, Ponte San Pietro and Treviolo.

Attractions

• The Castello della Marigolda from the 14th century.

• The Roman necropolis from the 1st century.

• The parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, which dates from the 13th century in the core. The rest of the church was built almost completely four centuries later.
