Peia is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) of 1,832 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. The place is located east of Val Gandino and somewhat removed from the Val Seraiana. The village lies about 25 kilometers northeast of the provincial capital of Bergamo. The town's name is derived from the Latin pila or Pilia. The community performs a Wildschweineber coat of arms.
