So told crew chief Mike Leitner 2004 Motorsport aktuell: "After Danis accident (he was a bad fall in Philip Iceland), we have tried to rebuild the circuit because he had problems with his foot. After the third non-functional modification he said we should leave it how it was originally. He did manage a handicap and had it. More, and as a rider Dani impressed me as a man. He is very honest and wants this honesty from us. He would never give the team the blame for a bad result if it was not really so. "

Pedrosa's mentor Alberto Puig says: "Of course it can also be angry. Sometimes I think he would jump up, scream around and throw something through the area, how others do it in the paddock. But then he just sits there, makes the mouth and thinking. Sometimes I wish he would still roar. "
