Emblem of Kyrgyzstan

The current coat of arms of Kyrgyzstan has been approved by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Memetkan Scherimkulow on 14 January 1994.

Description

The coat of arms was created by Sadirbek Dubanajew and A. Abdrajew. It is circular with blue background and silver edge.

In the middle of a silver falcon is depicted behind whose outstretched wings a lake and the Ala-Too mountain range can be seen as well as the behind rising sun with golden rays.

Edged the coat of arms of ears of wheat and cotton bolls and the Cyrillic lettering with the state name.

History

In Article 115 of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic on 23 March 1937 coat of arms of the Kyrgyz SSR was established.

It resembled the coat of arms of other Union republics, but had not the hammer and sickle in the center, but references to geographical features. Behind the mountain range of the Tian Shan, the rising sun was represented. Grain and cotton made ​​to agriculture.

On red banners the motto "Workers of the world unite " in Russian and in Kyrgyz.
