Erbenhausen
Erbenhausen is a municipality in the district Schmalkalden- Meiningen in Thuringia. It belongs to the administrative community Hohe Rhön, which has its headquarters in the town of Kaltensundheim.
Geography
Erbenhausen located in the Southwestern Front Rhön. South of the village core springs the Felda, in the district Schafhausen the Herpf.

History
For the first time the place in the year 838 was mentioned. He belonged to the Official Kaltennordheim the county Henneberg, later of Saxe -Weimar- Eisenach ( Eisenach Oberland).
Erbenhausen 1678-1731 was affected by witch hunts. Four women were caught in a witch trial. From two processes the output is unknown. 1731 were acquitted two persons.
