FIBT World Championships 2011
The 57th Bob World Cup was held from February 14 to 27, 2011 in Koenigssee instead.
Actually should Cortina d' Ampezzo host the World Championships, the World Championships, however, were laid in early 2009 by the FIBT after the Koenigssee towards the Combined ice rink in Koenigssee, as the financing of the necessary conversion work on the railway in Cortina, and a smooth organization could not be saved. The choice of venue was made on June 2, 2007, held at the London Congress of the International Bobsleigh and Luge Federation (FIBT ). Competition venue should have been the Eugenio Monti track.
Originally Cortina sat in coordination with 21:13 voices against the application of Winterberg ( Germany). After 1937, 1939, 1950, 1954, 1960, 1966, 1981, 1989 and 1999 Cortina would have been the host of the Bobweltmeisterschaft for the tenth time.
The Bob World Cup was held in parallel to the Skeleton World Cup 2011.

The teams consisted of one male and one female skeleton pilots as well as one male and one female Zweierbobteam. First launched the male skeleton pilot, then the Frauenbobteam, after which the female skeleton pilot and as a conclusion the bobsleigh team of men. Only one run was extended each which adds four individual runs for an overall result.
