Lamparter initially trained as a chef and later studied computer science and was computer science engineer. The athlete, who is trained by Stefan Burkart, since 2002 part of the national team of Switzerland. In his first season he was a brakeman for Francisco Baños in the four-man, Pius Meyer Hans in the two- and at the Swiss Championships boost for Martin Annen ( second place ). The Bob 2006 European Championship in St. Moritz brought winning the gold medal in four-man bobsleigh, as well as a fifth place with Schmid in the two-man bob. 2007 moved Lamparter the first brakeman in the new bobsleigh team of his longtime Anschieberkollegen at Annen and Rüegg, Beat Hefti.
