Heilbach

Heilbach is a municipality in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality New Castle.

Geography

Heilbach is on the Arzfelder plateau in the West Eifel. The municipality also includes the residential places Alferhof, Bornhof, Wehrhauserhof and Windshausen.

History

The place name probably comes from the clearing time. Until the annexation by France in 1794, the village belonged to rule New Castle and here again for dairy Plascheid. He was subsequently part of the Department of Forests under French rule. In 1815 he was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna. After the First World War temporarily again occupied by the French, the place is since 1946 part of Rhineland- Palatinate then newly founded.

Attractions

In the district Windshausen is a farm equipment museum with 400 exhibits of historical agricultural labor resources.
