Jaap Oudkerk

Jacob " Jaap " Oudkerk ( born August 2, 1937 in Sea Country ) is a former Dutch cyclist and two-time world champion.

Jaap Oudkerk was one of the most successful track riders of the Netherlands in the 1960s to the 1970s. His favorite disciplines were Stayers race and the individual pursuit. 1961 made ​​Oudkerk first attracted international attention when he took third place in the individual pursuit of amateurs at the Track World Championships in Zurich. 1963 ( as an amateur ) and 1972 ( as a professional ) he became Dutch champion in this discipline.

1964 Oudkerk was world champion in amateur stayer in Paris; In 1969, he was able to repeat this success as a professional. Five times he was Dutch champion stayer. In addition, he won many times the podium at World as in national championships.
