Geographical Location
John Brunn village is located about 44 km east of Graz and about 8 km east of the district capital field creek in East Styrian Hill Country.

The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 May 1984. Blazon (Coat of Arms description): " In Blue, a pale golden Roman altar, beseitet of two golden lilies with stamens. "
