Geographical Location

Kirchbach is located about 25 km south- east of Graz, approximately 17 km west of the district capital field creek in East Styrian Hill Country at the Schwarzau. The market town of Church Creek in Styria is a member congregation in the Styrian volcano land.

History

The origins of Bach's church, founder, founding date and occasion are in the dark. But already several centuries before the first documentary mention in 1240 Slavs lived there, and the place names date from this period.
