Kastelbell-Tschars

Bernkastel -Ciardes (Italian Castel -Ciardes ) is a municipality with 2379 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Vinschgau in South Tyrol (Italy). The municipality owns 50 kilometers of marked hiking trails and four locks. These are the castle Juval, the Bell Kastel castle, the raised hide box and lock Hochgalsaun.

The municipality of Castelrotto / Ciardes is connected through the Vinschgau Railway reopened in 2005 to the public railway network.

Geography

Bernkastel -Ciardes lies in the central Vinschgau shortly after Eingfahrt to Schnalstal. From the city center it is to Schlanders in the west about 10 km, in the neighboring Naturns in the east 8 km and 20 km to Merano.
