Kehrsatz Castle

The sweeping set of Castle is a castle in the municipality of return rate in the canton of Bern.

History

Hans von Fridingen and his wife Anna, daughter of Schultheissen Rudolf von Ringoltingen, sold in 1458 to the Seckelmeister Gillian Spilmann († 1458 ) Soil Zinse from goods in return rate and half of the rule to return set. From the family Spilmann the rule bequeathed to the Michel and the Bonstetten. Andreas von Bonstetten, Lord of Urtenen and Matt Stetten, inherited sweeping set of his son Wolfgang von Bonstetten. He in turn sold the reign of Konrad Güder, the Frisching with Susanna, a daughter of Samuel Schultheissen Frisching (I.) was married. Through inheritance the rule Kehrsatz now went to the Wurstemberger. Victor Emanuel Wurstemberger sold Kehrsatz 1720 to his cousin, Lieutenant General Karl dulcimer, who rebuilt the house. His widow Elizabeth Bondeli inherited the castle and rule their two youngest (out of four ) daughters. Mary Magdalene dulcimer husband Franz Ludwig von Graffenried bought from the inheritance of his sister in law and thus became sole master of sweeping set. His sons now sold their property in 1774 to Bernhard von Graffenried. This in turn sold in 1797 to Beat Tscharner Emanuel, who is also owner of the neighboring country seat was wage by his marriage with Charlotte Tscharner. His childless son Albrecht Friedrich von Tscharner bequeathed the castle estate in 1860 the island hospital. In 1888 it was bought by the canton of Bern and established it as a girls' home.

It was later the home of a mixed boarding school with small living groups and internal school, children and young people are promoted with a special need in the integration. In 1950, the agricultural farm estate was leased, canceled the old barn and built in its place the present house.

Legend

According to legend, haunts a subsidiary of the dulcimer family that could never reach the eternal rest for her relaxed way of life, in the nights of the castle and search for the year number 1598 in the masonry. After that she goes every time to the attic, where it waits next to the clock tower until it strikes midnight.
