Körperich

Körperich is a municipality in the district of Bitburg -Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality New Castle. Körperich is a nationally recognized tourist and reported as a basic center in accordance with state planning.

Geography

Körperich consists of the villages

History

1330 leads the taxa generalis Körperich as Kirpurg to 1570 then as Kirprich. For a long time in the Middle Ages and then Körperich belonged to the county of Vianden Luxembourg.

In 1794, French revolutionary troops had the Austrian Netherlands, which included the Duchy of Luxembourg, occupied and annexed in October 1795. From 1795 to 1814 the town belonged to the canton of Vianden in the forests department. Körperich was the seat of a Mairie.

In 1815, the former Luxembourg territory east of the Sauer and the Our was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna. Attractions

The foundations of the Catholic parish church of St. Hubertus date from the Middle Ages.
