Lajen

Lajen (Italian Laion ) is a town with 2628 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the lower Eisacktal at the entrance of Val Gardena in South Tyrol.

Geography

The municipality is located on an outstretched ridge east of the Klausen from the Eisacktal rises and rises in the east to Rasciesa out. In the north it is bordered by Villnößtal and in the south by the Val Gardena. The main town Lajen situated at an altitude of 1,100 m above sea level.
