Liginiac

Liginiac ( Liginhac in Occitan ) is a commune with 642 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Gorges de la Haute Dordogne.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central from the south Millevaches Plateau and the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin between the Triouzoune the Diège on the right bank of the Dordogne. The Paris meridian runs through the municipality.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 65 kilometers south-west, about 17 kilometers north Ussel and Bort- les- Orgues about 20 kilometers to the east.

Neighboring communities of Liginiac are Sainte-Marie- Lapanouze in the north, Champagnac in the east, Sérandon in the south, the west and Neuvic Chirac -Bellevue in the northwest.

Traffic

The village is located about 15 km southeast slightly junction 23 of the A89 autoroute.

Description: In a brick blue silver tower; heraldic left of a silver crescent moon lying, the opposite on the other side of the tower a golden star. The right place is red-gold geschacht.
