The list of cities in Bulgaria provides an overview of the development of the population of the larger urban settlements and towns of the South East European state of Bulgaria.
By far the largest agglomeration in Bulgaria is Sofia, with a population of 1,205,048 (as of 1 January 2008). Thus 16 percent of the country's people live in the capital region.
