Mazda Laputa (2006)
The Mazda Laputa was a micro car, the Mazda in Japan offered from 1999 to 2006. The car was manufactured by Suzuki and offered as Suzuki Kei. 2001, the mix of kei car and SUV has been revised. The Laputa was there with front wheel drive and all-wheel drive as a 3- door hatchback or 5- door station wagon. It was powered by a four ³ cylinder in-line engine with 659 cm and one or two overhead camshafts.
2006 Laputa was replaced by Spiano.
On the world market
The name Laputa comes from the book Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. Like the Nissan Moco and the Mitsubishi Pajero, the name is not for distribution in Spanish-speaking countries, as the Spanish la puta in the German whore means ( Moco in German means snot and Pajero wanker ).
