Milo White

Milo White ( born August 17, 1830 in Fletcher, Franklin County, Vermont, † May 18, 1913 in Chatfield, Minnesota ) was an American politician.

In his native Vermont Milo White attended the public schools and a private school in Bakersfield. He moved to New York in 1853 and 1855, according to Chatfield in the Minnesota Territory, where he first was active in the commercial sector. From 1872 to 1876, and 1881 and 1882 he was a member of the Senate of Minnesota. He was then elected as a Republican to Congress and represented the state of Minnesota there on 4 March 1883 to 3 March 1887 the House of Representatives of the United States. After two terms, he resigned from the Congress; his seat went to the Democrats Thomas Wilson. Thereupon White again devoted his previous occupation. He served in the following terms of office the office of mayor of Chatfield; an intended return to the U.S. House of Representatives failed in 1898.

Milo White died in 1913 in Chatfield and was buried in the local cemetery.
