Mollkirch

Mollkirch is a municipality with 976 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the canton of Rosheim in the department of Bas -Rhin in Alsace region of France. She is a member of the Association of Municipalities Communauté de Communes du Canton de Rosheim.

For minor parish includes the hamlet Laubenheim. Towers over the town, the castle ruins Girbaden.

Geography

The village is quite remote at the edge of the Vosges Mountains in the Valley of Magel. The majority of the township is forested. Nearby cities are in the southeast of Obernai and Molsheim in the Northeast. After the city of Strasbourg in the east, you drive about 40 km.
