Okan Yılmaz

Okan Yılmaz ( born May 16, 1978 in Bursa) is a Turkish football player. He was twice the highest scorer in the Turkish league and once the second highest Turkish league.

Career

Club career

Okan Yılmaz started his career at Inegölspor. Later he played among others at Bursaspor, Belediye Vanspor, Diyarbakirspor, Malatyaspor, Konyaspor, Orduspor, Panthrakikos and Sakaryaspor. Okan Yılmaz currently plays for Tepecikspor in the third TFF Lig

In the time when Bursaspor was Okan Yılmaz scorer in the 2000/ 01 and 2002/ 03 season, the big breakthrough, however, he never made. After his club was relegated at the end of the 2003/04 season in the second-class TFF 1 Lig, he held despite lucrative offers his club loyalty. He was charged with 25 meetings in 29 games the second highest scorer Turkish league. Nevertheless, the club failed to direct the revival. So Yılmaz separated after eight years of Bursaspor and switched to Malatyaspor.

National team career

For Turkey, he completed seven games and scored five goals. In the Confederations Cup in 2003, he scored three goals in five games.
