Rausdorf

Rausdorf ( Low German Rausdörp ) is a municipality in the district Stormarn in Schleswig-Holstein. The municipality belongs to the district of Lindenhof.

Geography and transport

Rausdorf is located about 20 km east of Hamburg. The Corbek flows through the community.

History

1259 the village was first mentioned. The present name is derived from Rowedderstorp, which apparently means village Rowedders.

Policy

Municipal council

Of the nine seats in the municipal council voters Community Rausdorf ( WGR ) won five seats in the local elections in 2008, the group of voters Rausdorf ( DWR ) newly founded before the election won four seats.

In 2009, a community representative of the voters Community Rausdorf ( WGR ) from his group came out. Because of the hereby altered power relations in the council came after the resignation of former Mayor Otto Kertelhein ( WGR ), in April 2011 a new election of the mayor from among the DWR. Gunther Behncke was elected by five votes in favor, with four abstentions.
