Hamberge

Hamberge ( Low German Hambarg ) is a municipality in the northeast of the circle Stormarn in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography

Hamberge located on the banks of the Trave at the border to the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. Through the village leads B75 from Lübeck to Reinfeld ( Holstein).

History

Hamberge was originally a Slavic village named " Lancowe ". Since 1163 it was owned by the Lübeck Cathedral Chapter. It was in 1197 divided into the two places Hamberge and Hansfelde.

After the secularization of the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss Hamberge fell in 1803 to the Principality of Lübeck. Through a land swap occurred 1842 Holstein and was incorporated into the old sovereign Official Reinfeld. After the annexation of Schleswig-Holstein by Prussia in 1867, the town was assigned to the newly formed Stormarn. With the introduction of the Prussian municipal constitution he came in 1889 for the district of Neuhof.

In 1911 a bridge was built over the Trave, which replaced the centuries-old ferry service. On March 21, 1934, the first sod for the autobahn from Hamburg to Lübeck ( now the Federal Highway 1) was set at Hamberge. In 1948 the place came to office Reinfeld country and 1972 to the Official North Stormarn. With the incorporation of Hansfelde, which entered into force on 1 January 1974, the two villages were reunited after almost 800 years.

Hansfelde

Hansfelde was created in 1197 by Department of Hamberge as the courtyard of the Lübeck Cathedral Chapter. 1784 the farm was parceled into eight possessions. As Hamberge fell Hansfelde due to the secularization of the principality of Lübeck and came in 1842 to Holstein and there to the office Reinfeld. In the Weimar Republic Hansfelde was a stronghold of the NSDAP, which over 80 % of the vote won in the general election in 1932. At the time of incorporation to Hamberge Hansfelde had 366 inhabitants.

Culture and sights

The village church was built Hamberge 1327/28. The floor plan is rectangular and wide in the area without the usual division into nave and choir. The tower of the church in 1958 was renewed modern. Notable Equipment is the font from Gotland limestone altar and the pulpit along with from the workshop of Lübeck master Hieronymus Hassberg of 1722. 1927 The church was re-painted by the artist Asmus Lübeck Jessen based on found in the restoration motives.

The founder of the Schleswig-Holstein school for deaf and dumb children in Schleswig, Georg Wilhelm Pentecost, was at this church organist ago by 1792-1799.

Policy

Since the local elections on May 26, 2013, the CDU has all the 13 seats in the municipal council. The turnout was 48%.
