Ruhwinkel

Ruhwinkel is a municipality in the district of Plön, in Schleswig- Holstein.

Geography and transport

The community Ruhwinkel located about 20 km east of Neumünster, about 20 km from Plon, about 20 km from Bad Segeberg and about 30 km from Kiel.

Through the community, the Federal Highway runs 21 from Kiel to Bad Segeberg.

For Ruhwinkeler township is part of the Fuhlensee. This silted up steadily and is very difficult to access. The area around the Fuhlensee in 1983 as a nature reserve Fuhlensee and environment. Ruhwinkel is in the range of " Wankendorfer lake district " and the " Bornhöveder chain of lakes ". So borders in the east of Bornhöveder lake, the Schmalensee lake and the Lake Belau and to the north of the Schierensee directly to the municipality.

The municipality consists of the villages Ruhwinkel Ruhwinkel ( with living quarters Old Corral, Seeraden, Tannenbeck, Four and atrium), fenugreek ( with living quarters Beekskate, Dröge Kuhlen and Eichholz ) and Schönböken.

From 1911 to 1961 Ruhwinkel was the small train station Kiel Segeberg, whose tracks were removed in 1962.

History

Good Schönböken

Schönböken was founded in 1800 as Grange from Good Perdoel and raised in 1806 in the state of a noble estate. During this time Schönböken is separated together with the villages Ruhwinkel and Belau of the Good Perdoel. In 1936, the Wehrmacht bought the estate. She sat here a Remonteamt and built this in 1941 at a research and experimental stud to. After the war, until 1951, the Hofländereien of goods Schönböken in land for settlement farms were converted.

The mansion was built in 1805 and was awarded with the order and extension in 1870 its present shape. The mansion was later used as a disaster and school after the war ended only by the German Agricultural Machinery School ( DEULA ). Today it is the Zen Association Germany as a venue. The mansion is listed next to the gatehouse and the Manor Park in the list of monuments of Schleswig- Holstein as a cultural monument.

The lime tree avenue Schönböken leads from the main road B430 in a length of over a kilometer and a population of approximately 250 Linden directly to the gatehouse to. The avenue was planted in 1856 and was named in 2010 by the Schleswig -Holstein Heritage Association with the award " beautiful avenue 2010".

Good Bockhorn

Bockhorn was up in the 17th century, a forested area in the possession of the goods Perdoel. Herein lies probably the origin of the name fenugreek; Bock is derived from beech, horn means angle / corner. From the mid-17th century to the early 18th century a glassworks was operated in the fenugreek. For the operation of the glassworks a huge demand for firewood was needed. For this, the trees on Bockhorn was cleared as far as possible. The so vacant land was converted to agricultural land. Between 1716 and 1726 Bockhorn is applied as the Grange and isolated in 1798 by the sale of the estate Perdoel. In 1806 Bockhorn is charged alongside Schönböken in the status of a noble estate. In the years 1957-1958 the majority of Hofländereien was sold to build municipal courts. The Farmstead is now privately owned.

Built in 1805 mansion was canceled in 2007.

Policy

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council voters Community KWR has since the local elections in 2013 six seats and voters Community BVS five.

Economy

The community is predominantly agricultural. In the district Schönböken several nurseries are available. Moreover, the cattle Schleswig Holstein ( RSH) has a cattle insemination station in Schönböken.
