Saint-Julien-près-Bort

Saint- Julien- près- Bort ( Sent Julian prep Baurt in Occitan ) is a commune of 430 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Plateau Bortois.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the right bank of the Dordogne near the Diège Estuary and about seven kilometers west of the dam of Bort- les- Orgues and thus accordingly removed from the border of Cantal.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 75 kilometers south-west, Ussel about 20 kilometers north-west, and Bort- les- Orgues about 10 km southeast easily.

Neighboring municipalities of Saint- Julien- près- Bort are Thalamy in the north, Monestier- Port-Dieu in the northeast, Sarroux the southeast, Champagnac in the south, Bort- les- Orgues in the Southeast, Saint- Pierre in the southwest, Roche -le- Peyroux and Margerides in the west and Saint -Bonnet- près- Bort in the northwest.

Traffic

The village is located about 20 kilometers southeast of the junction 23 of the A89 autoroute.
