Scott-Nationalpark

The Scott State Park (English: Scott National Park ) is a 33 km ² national park in the southwest of Western Australia, Australia.

Location

The park is located about 60 km south of Busselton and 15 kilometers east of Augusta. So it is between the Leeuwin - Naturaliste National Park and the D' Entrecasteaux National Park near the coast to the Southern Ocean. It includes the estuary and the lower reaches of the Blackwood River and Scott River.

The park can from Brockman Highway A 10-km long, partially paved road are achieved. In the park itself there are no roads. Only boats have access to the few furnishings in the park.

Flora and Fauna

Open jarrah and banksia forests together with extensive marshes and river vegetation dominate the landscape in the park. The Scott State Park is home to the Western Grey Kangaroo, the Black Swan, the emu, a cormorant, a heron - type and parrot species.
