The Toyota 2000GT was a sports car by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota.

History

The model was presented in 1965 at the Tokyo Motor Show. World records and racing successes

Toyota launched the 2000GT with a third place in the Japanese Grand Prix in 1966. In June 1966, the first long- distance race over 1000 km of Japan was held at Suzuka. In the James Bond film You Only Live Twice played an open copy of the 2000GT, the role of Bond Cars. The convertible version was built specifically for the film in two copies prototype and was never produced in series.
