Trakan Phuet Phon District

Amphoe Phon Trakan Phuet ( Thai: อำเภอ ตระการพืชผล ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Ubon Ratchathani. The Ubon Ratchathani Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts are ( from northeast clockwise): Amphoe Kut the Khaopun, Pho Sai, Si Mueang Mai, Tan Sum, Don Mot Daeng and Lao Suea Kok Ubon Ratchathani province, as well as Amphoe Pathum Ratchawongsa and Phana Amnat Charoen Province.

History

The district goes back to Mueang Phana Nikhon ( พนา นิคม ), which was the Mueang Ubon Ratchathani subordinate. Since the administration was in Ban Khulu, the district was renamed in 1917 in Khulu. 1939 the name was changed again, this time in the historical Phana Nikhom, then the following year he got his current name.

Administrative units

Amphoe Phon is Trakan Phuet ( tambon) divided into 23 municipalities, which in turn in 235 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Trakan Phuet Phon itself has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon), it consists of the whole tambon Khu Lu and parts of the tambon Kham Charoen.

There are also 22 administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
