U.S. Route 280

U.S. Highway 280 ( U.S. 280 short ) is a United States highway in the United States. The highway begins at the Interstates 20 and 59 in Birmingham and ends on U.S. Highway 80 in Bryan County. Over long distances, the road passes through sparsely populated areas and small towns in the South Georgia and east Alabama. In Talladega County, U.S. 280 is known as Jim Nabors Highway.

Between Columbus and the Bryan County U.S. Highway serves as a bypass of U.S. Highways 80 This is also symbolized by the number 280.
