Wijnegem is a municipality with 9041 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2012) in the province of Antwerp (Flanders ) in Belgium. It is located about seven kilometers east of the city center on the southern bank of the Albert Canal in the agglomeration of Antwerp.

The next highway exits are located at Wommelgem at the A13 / E 34 and on the east Antwerp ring road. In Antwerp, is the nearest railway station, in the hold both regional trains as well as on regional express trains. A few miles south is the Antwerp airport.
