Capizzi
Capizzi is a city in the province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, with 3308 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Capizzi is located 155 km west of Messina in southern Nebrodischen Mountains. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture. It produces corn, cherries, almonds and cheese.
The neighboring municipalities are Caronia, Cerami (EN), and Cesarò Mistretta.
History
The place has its origins in antiquity. At the Arab era, there was a small fort here.
