Tortorici
Tortorici is a city in the province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, with 6598 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Tortorici is located 109 km west of Messina. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture, animal husbandry and handicraft ( Bell Foundry ).
History
The town has existed since the 12th century. It was a dependent part of the Diocese of Messina. 1682 and 1754 the city was heavily damaged by storms.
