Santa Teresa di Riva is a municipality in the Province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, with 9309 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

Santa Teresa di Riva is located 34 km southwest of Messina. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture, in metal processing and cement production. The community benefits from a privileged location on the Ionian Sea.

History

At the point of Santa Teresa di Riva was the port of Savoca (Marina di Savoca ). Marina di Savoca in 1849 destroyed. At the point the church was rebuilt in 1853 and received its independence.
