Nizza di Sicilia
Nizza di Sicilia is a city in the province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, with 3674 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Nizza di Sicilia located 36 km southwest of Messina. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture and fisheries.
The neighboring municipalities are Alì Terme, Fiumedinisi, Mandanici and Roccalumera.
History
The village was founded in the Middle Ages. From 1851 to 1963 was called Nizza di Sicilia San Ferdinando. From 1929 to 1948, the town belonged to Roccalumera.
