Falcone, Sicily
Falcone is a small municipality in the province of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, with 2845 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Falcone is located 61 km west of Messina on the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The inhabitants mainly work in agriculture.
Borders the following municipalities: Furnari, Montalbano Elicona, Oliveri and Tripi.
History
From the 4th century BC, ancient implements have been found on the territory of Falcone during excavations. Today's Falcone is since the 19th century.
