Affieux
Affieux ( Afiu in Occitan ) is a commune of 370 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Vézère Monedieres. The inhabitants call themselves Affieucois (it).
Geography
The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the southwestern edge of the plateau Millevaches and thus also in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin. The left bank of the Vezere is located approximately two kilometers north.
Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 30 kilometers south, Égletons about 30 kilometers south-east and Uzerche about 20 kilometers south-west.
Neighboring communities of Affieux are Treignac in the north, Veix in the east, Madranges in the South, Le Lonzac in the southwest, Peyrissac in the west and Soudaine - Lavinadière in the northwest.
