Laguenne
Laguenne is a commune with 1424 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011), located in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The inhabitants call themselves Guennois (it). The municipality is a member of the Association of Communes et Tulle Cœur de Corrèze.
Geography
The municipality is located in the Massif Central, about five kilometers south of Tulle, prefecture of the department.
The rivers Montane, Saint- Bonnette and the Corrèze flow through the municipality, which first opens at the municipal boundary between Tulle and Laguenne the Montane in the Saint- Bonnette and shortly after this turn. In the Corrèze

History
The original name of the place is called Agenna to 922 AD for the first time and was of Celtic origin. Then the name was Latinized to Aquina and walked over Aquina, Agena, Aguena and Laguenna finally Laguenne. The L- initial position is explained by the merger of the article la with the city name, it was so L' Aguenna finally Laguenna. The place was one of the 18 fortified towns of the Bas- Limousin.
