Bassignac-le-Haut

Bassignac -le-Haut is a commune with 212 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Canton de Saint-Privat. The inhabitants call themselves Bassignacois (it).

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central in the Xaintrie. The prefecture of the department of Tulle is located about 30 km north-west and slightly Argentat 25 km southwest.

Neighboring communities of Bassignac -le-Haut are Saint- Merd -de- Lapleau in the northeast, Auriac in the east, Darazac in the south, Servières -le- Château in the South West, Saint- Martin-la- Méanne in the west and Gros- Chastang in the northwest.
