Anders Södergren
Anders Sodergren ( born May 17, 1977 in Söderhamn, Gävleborg län) is a Swedish cross-country skier.
Anders Sodergren is married, lives in Östersund Östersund and starts for SK. He is active since January 1997 on an international level. First he went to especially in unterklassigen race like FIS and Continental Cup competitions. His World Cup debut came in March 1999 with a 30 -kilometer race (56th ) in Falun. His first World Cup points he gained as 25th in a sprint race in Garmisch -Partenkirchen in December of this year. In 2001 he started in Lahti in his first Nordic World Ski Championships. Both in the race over 30 as well as over 50 kilometers, it took 15 seats. The 2002 Winter Olympics, he missed due to lung problems. At the end of the season 2001/ 02 Sodergren with the Swedish squadron in Falun second and during the subsequent season finale about 50 kilometers fourth. After several good finishes in the World Cup in the 2003/04 season won Sodergren in Nässjö with the titles on 10, 15, 30 and 50 km, as well as on the double tracking, five Swedish championship titles in one season. The following season he won the pursuit, the 15 - and 50 - kilometer races, as well as silver over 30 kilometers. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf managed Sodergren in four races three placings in the top ten, he placed fifth in pursuit, with the seventh season and finished ninth in the race over 50 kilometers. Shortly before the start of the season of cross-country skiing World Cup 2008/ 09 suffered a serious setback Sodergren. In a medical examination a tumor on the right testicle was found. He decided to order the removal of the affected testicle immediately for safety's sake. At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Sodergren with Daniel Richardsson, Marcus Hellner and Johan Olsson won the gold medal in the relay race 4 x 10 km.
