Calizzano

Calizzano ( in Ligurian: Carizan ) is a municipality with 1532 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Savona.

Geography

Calizzano is located in the upper part of the Val Bormida, in the hinterland of the Riviera di Ponente. Near the municipality of the regional border between Liguria and Piedmont runs. Calizzano belongs to the Comunità Montana Alta Val Bormida and is approximately 51 km from the provincial capital Savona.
