Dave McCurdy

David Keith "Dave" McCurdy ( born March 30, 1950 in Canadian, Texas) is an American politician. Between 1981 and 1995 he represented the fourth electoral district of the state of Oklahoma in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Dave McCurdy attended the common schools and then studied until 1975 at the University of Oklahoma, among others, Jura. In the same year he was admitted to the bar. Between 1977 and 1978, he studied international economics at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. McCurdy was also in the Reserve of the U.S. Air Force, in which he brought it up to Major.

McCurdy was a member of the Democratic Party. Between 1975 and 1977 he was Deputy Attorney General of Oklahoma. He then worked until 1980 as a private lawyer. In that year he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, where he replaced Tom Steed on 3 January 1981. In February 2007, McCurdy was president of the Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

Dave McCurdy now lives with his wife, the child psychologist Dr. Pam McCurdy, and his three children in McLean ( Virginia).
