The Polish Droga ekspresowa S79 ( ger. for, expressway S79 ') is an axis extending in a north-south direction feeder road to the southern Warsaw ring road (S2 ), which passes east at Warsaw Chopin Airport and will connect them. In the north will be connected to the expressway S79 to a " Nazi Trasa " designated as a town road leading from the highway interchange at the Marynarska Street to the intersection Armii Krajowej ( S7/S8 ) is performed.

History

The section between the nodes Warszawa - Marynarska and Warszawa - Południe ( S79, length: 4.3 km ) was located along with the section between the nodes Warszawa - Południe and Warszawa - Puławska the S2 (length: 3.9 kilometers ) of 2009 to 2013 under construction and should be completed by April 2012 originally. Because of significant construction delays first was the opening to traffic of the short, 1.4 km long section from the node Warszawa - Marynarska to node Warszawa - Lotnisko on 14 June 2013. Full completion and traffic handover occurred together with the S2 section between the nodes Warszawa - Aleja Krakowska and Warszawa - Południe on 5 September 2013.

Trasa N -S

The expressway Trasa NS ( Trasa Polnoc - Południe ) is planned in north-south direction to relieve the western Warsaw districts, and as a bypass to the western ring road ( S2/S7/S8 ).
