The Droga ekspresowa S7 ( ger. for, expressway S7 ' ) is a currently in planning or under construction expressway in Poland and to the metropolitan areas of Gdansk, Warsaw and Krakow together. The European Route 28 and extending the European Route 77 between node Żuławy - Zachód and the expansion at the end Rabka between nodes Gdańsk and Elbląg Południe Wschód on her.
Planning history
Already in the motorway network plans in Poland in the years 1945 and 1946 a connection from Gdansk via Elblag to Warsaw was provided, which corresponded to the planned route of the S7 today largely. In contrast, in these plans was missing the route Warsaw -Krakow. 1963, contain up to Zakopane for the first time, the entire polyline. Also in the plans of the year 1971. 1976 all the way from Gdansk to the southern border of Poland to Chyżne was provided with continuation in the direction of Budapest in the power plans. This design lasted until 1996. The plan of 2001, the section from Rabka accounted for by Chyżne but contained a new connection from Rabka to Zakopane as S47. 2003 also accounted for S47 Rabka to Zakopane, in the following years, these variants were no longer included. From the border crossing from Chyżne in Slovakia, the expressway was planned R3, which should lead over Martin, Zvolen, Šahy to Budapest.

In the area of Nowy Dwór Gdański Ryki and the track is still designated as a National road 7, just as the cuts in Elblag, Skarżysko -Kamienna, Kielce and Jędrzejów. In Elbląg the E28 is out on the expressway S22. The avoidance of Miłomłyn is currently running yet einstreifig. After completion of the expressway S10, the National Highway 10 and National Highway 50 are rededicated the branch Płońsk - Siedlin in the S10. Between Lesznowola and Antoninów the route is expanded dreistreifig. At the junction Młodocin the National Road 7 is rededicated after the expressway S12 in S12. In Kielce - Zachód that will happen with the National Road 74, which will be redirected to the expressway S74. Between Krakow and Krakow Bieżanów - Opatkowice the S7 runs along the route of the A4.
