Frank L. Hays

Frank L. Hays ( born January 6, 1922 in Denver, Colorado; † January 25, 2003 ) was an American politician. Between 1957 and 1959 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Colorado.

Career

About the youth and education of Frank Hays nothing is handed down. But he must have studied law. During the Second World War he served in the Air Corps of the U.S. armed forces. After the war, he practiced as a lawyer. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. Between 1951 and 1957 he sat in the House of Representatives from Colorado. In 1955 and 1957 he headed the Republican faction. In July 1952 he was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in part in Chicago, was nominated at the Dwight D. Eisenhower as a presidential candidate.

In 1956 Hays was elected to the side of Stephen McNichols Vice Governor of the State of Colorado. This post he held 1957-1959. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. After the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, he worked as a lobbyist. He died on January 25, 2003 in Denver.
