George Milton Corlett

George Milton Corlett ( born November 7, 1884 in Burchard, Nebraska, † February 16, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona ) was an American politician. Between 1927 and 1931 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Colorado.

Career

About the youth and education of George Corlett nothing is handed down. He must, however, have studied law and then practiced as a lawyer. On an unknown date, he moved to Monte Vista, Colorado. During World War II he served in the United States Army. Politically, he joined the Republican Party. From 1919 to 1921 he was mayor of Monte Vista.

In 1926, Corlett was elected on the side of William Adams as Vice Governor of the State of Colorado. This post he held 1927-1931. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. He died on February 16, 1955 in Phoenix.
